Sporting informed the Securities Market Commission (CMVM) this Thursday about the compensation that Rafael Leão will have to pay to the club for the unilateral termination of the contract.
«As well as considering the counterclaim partially valid, ordering the player to pay Sporting SAD the amount of 16.5 ME, as compensation for unlawful termination of the sports employment contract», reads the statement.
The lions also inform that they have to pay 40 thousand euros to the player "for the title of compensation for the practice of moral harassment".
Remember that the young Portuguese striker, currently at Milan, had terminated with the Alvalade club in May 2018, following the attack on the Alcochete Academy.
Later, Rafael Leão signed with Lille. Sporting made a complaint at FIFA – which it considered not to be competent to judge the case – against French player, businessman and emblem. This is because clubs that sign players in the same situation as Leão can be considered co-responsible and are also obliged to pay compensation.
