Samsung and LG overseas plants continue to shut down with corona
Samsung Electronics said on the 8th, "We will suspend the US home appliance factory by the 19th, considering the health and safety of our employees."
Samsung Electronics temporarily closed its business site until the 5th when two employees of the Newberry County plant were confirmed by Corona on the 3rd. It has been restarted since the 6th, but the coronal situation in the United States became serious, and it closed again in two days.
South Carolina has been ordering home evacuation since the 7th. Although there were no instructions to shut down the plant, Samsung decided to shut it down for the safety of its employees. The Samsung Electronics Newberry plant, which was launched in January 2018, produces 1 million washing machines annually.

Samsung Electronics' Polish home appliance factory will be suspended on the 19th and India's smartphone factory will be suspended until the 14th. Samsung Electronics is also considering shutting down its Tijuana TV plant in Mexico.
Meanwhile, LG Electronics decided to shut down the Reynosa TV plant in Mexico for two days on the 8th and 13th, and the Mexicali plant until the 13th to 24th.
