There was a row at the Polonia House in Krakow, which was rented by the Algerian embassy during the presidential election. Two Algerians attacked the embassy secretary.
The brawl took place on Saturday afternoon during the Algerian presidential election.
Two Algerians entered the House of Polonia at the Krakow Market Square, who initiated a row. They also violated bodily immunity and insulted the third secretary of the Algerian embassy, Mahomed Quahabi Lamine.
Police officers summoned to the place detained men. The injured diplomat submitted a notice of violation of bodily integrity and disruption of elections.
The elections are to determine the successor of Abdelaziz Butefliki, the head of state for 20 years.
Buteflik, 82, resigned from office in early April under pressure from mass protests and the army. Temporarily, Abdelkader Bensalah, chairman of the Council of Nation, or the upper house of parliament, took over the duties of the head of state.
