'Sport24' newspaper points out former Olympiacos and Everton coach to Luz
THE Tuesday's defeat against Santa Clara left the position of Bruno Lage in charge of Benfica even more fragile, leading even to several opinions of notables asking to resign. In this sense, information from Greece arrives this Wednesday that the eagles will already have a 'short list' designed for the probable succession of their current coach, with Marco Silva being, it seems, the favorite name of those responsible for the club.
According to 'Sport24', the former coach of clubs like Estoril, Sporting, Olympiacos or Everton appears in pole position, ahead of two other names that are seen as much more complicated to sign. They are Jorge Jesus, long appointed to return but recently renewed with Flamengo, and Luís Castro, current coach of Shakhtar Donetsk, the club for which he was champion at the weekend.
Marco Silva, it should be noted, has been without a club since December last year, when he left Everton's technical command.
