Nuno Lobo, candidate of list B for the presidency of FC Porto, revealed, in an interview with the Lusa agency, the need to bet on the formation of 'dragons' football, as a way to get around the difficulties and reduce the club's liabilities.
The candidate defended that this department has been “a little forgotten in recent years” and guarantees that “the bet should have always been on training”.
“FC Porto forming a player, that player then moves on to team B or sub-23, to later reach the main team. And FC Porto does not have this formation, does not create these gains, nor can it fill the senior squad nor can it enhance our formation. And these dividends that we could have would serve, for example, to fill this tremendous liability that FC Porto has. Herrera, Brahimi and Marcano, if we had sold them, we would no longer talk about 400 and such millions of liabilities ”, he said.
Nuno Lobo defended a relationship with the League of clubs and with the Portuguese Football Federation based on “cordiality, peace and transparency”, despite putting reticence in dealing with some people linked to football.
“I want to have a normal, cordial, peaceful and transparent relationship. What I haven't seen. If you ask me if I am able to meet with a, b, c or d, what I have seen lately, I don't think so. Dr. Fernando Gomes invited Dr. Cláudia Santos to work with him. And this lady was responsible for archiving the 'vouchers'. And I think: how can I get along with this kind of people? I don't want to create a climate of war, but I also don't want to live in it. I don't want to be with people who overshadowed and overshadowed Portuguese football. I don't sit with these people ”, he guaranteed.
Nuno Lobo also recalled that the only result that will make him satisfied in the FC Porto elections is only for the victory. The candidate believes that this is possible and that, with the way of facing the project, and the way he is, he will be able to bring the candidacy to a successful conclusion.
“A good result is to win. For one vote, for two, for three … Anyone who doesn't like me has to think I'm frontal. I am not afraid, I am vertical and I think with what comes from my heart. I am like that ”, he concluded.
The elections in FC Porto will take place on the 6th and 7th of June and has 4 lists: A, headed by Pinto da Costa, list B, led by Nuno Lobo, list C, by José Fernando Rio, and list D that competes only for the Superior Council and is directed by Miguel Brás da Cunha.
