There were another 13 deaths from covid-19 in Portugal in the last 24 hours, which corresponds to a growth rate of 1.09% and brings the total number of victims to 1203. There are 227 more confirmed infections, which represents a growth rate of 0.79%. In total, 28,810 cases of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been recorded in Portugal since the beginning of the pandemic.
3822 people were recovered, 494 more than on Friday. There are still 657 people hospitalized, of which 115 are in intensive care units. The data are in the epidemiological bulletin released this Saturday by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), which is updated daily with information until midnight the previous day.
The region with the most cases remains the North, with 16,282 infected and 684 deaths. However, Lisbon is the municipality with the most infections: 1919.
Until Friday, Portugal had recorded 1190 deaths from covid-19 and 28,583 cases of infection. Worldwide, there are more than 4.5 million people infected and more than 307 thousand deaths.
